Calvillo helps Montreal come back against Edmonton

07/11/2010 - Edmonton, AB (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Anthony Calvillo threw a pair of second-half touchdowns as his Montreal Alouettes earned a come-from-behind 33-23 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos at Commonwealth Stadium.

Calvillo completed 19-of-30 passes for 237 yards for the Alouettes (1-1), who are the defending Grey Cup Champions but lost in the opening week to Saskatchewan.

Ricky Ray threw for 340 yards and a touchdown for Edmonton (0-2), but the signal caller tossed two costly interceptions in the second half.

Trailing 23-11 late in the third quarter, Montreal scored three unanswered touchdowns to close out the contest. A pair of Calvillo touchdown passes sandwiched an interception return for a touchdown by Jerald Ray.

Reportedly, he is in great shape and well ahead of schedule to return to form. Also, he could have some added motivation to put up big numbers this season with the Eagles using their first pick in the draft on McNabb’s future successor Kevin Kolb.
