03/18/2010 - Providence, RI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The 14th-seeded Ohio University Bobcats are out to continue their magical run tonight, as they lock up with the third- seeded Georgetown Hoyas in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The victor of this Midwest Regional matchup will move on to the second round versus either Tennessee or San Diego State on Saturday.
As the ninth-seed, Ohio wasn't given much of a chance to win the Mid-American Conference Tournament, but the team defied all odds and won four straight games to claim its first title since 2005. It was a remarkable feat considering the Bobcats had gone just 7-9 in conference play during the regular season. The program is now set for its 12th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, where it has gone 4-12 all-time.
The Hoyas meanwhile, didn't need to win the Big East Tournament to move on to the Big Dance, but a deep run in the league championship event certainly helped in the seeding. Georgetown had lost four of its final five games of the regular season and was probably eyeing up a sixth or seventh seed before a run to the Big East Tournament title game moved it to the third seed for this event. The Hoyas are making their 26th trip to the Big Dance and they are 45-24 all-time, including a national championship in 1984.
Tonight's contest represents the first-ever meeting between Georgetown and Ohio on the hardwood.
The Bobcats are paced by Armon Bassett, a transfer that played in two NCAA Tournaments while at Indiana. Bassett showed his experience and talent in the recent MAC Tournament, where he averaged 29.0 ppg and 3.8 apg en route to MVP honors. It was an incredible run for Bassett, who averages 16.9 ppg and 3.5 apg for the season. D.J. Cooper is another intriguing option for Ohio, as the MAC Freshman of the Year turns in 13.1 ppg and 5.4 rpg, to go with team highs of 5.9 apg and 88 steals. DeVaughn Washington and Tommy Freeman are two other players that can make things happen and they chip in with 11.2 and 10.1 ppg, respectively.
The Hoyas have little depth, but their top four producers are as good as any around. Austin Freeman leads the club with an average of 16.7 ppg and the 45.0 percent three-point shooter has scored at least 15 points in 19 games this season. A 6-11 center, Greg Monroe is one of the top players in the nation at his position and he nearly averages a double-double with 16.1 ppg and 9.5 rpg. Monroe is also a terrific passer for a big man, dishing off 3.7 apg. Chris Wright adds 14.8 ppg and a team-best 4.1 apg to the mix, while Jason Clark rounds out the group with 10.6 ppg.

MySportsbook.com favors Bears, Bengals, Chargers and Colts to remain perfect
LAS VEGAS , Sept. 28 - Two big match-ups of undefeated teams have fans salivating at the Week Four schedule in the NFL. The Chicago Bears stifling defense looks to provide a less than hospitable welcome to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night in a battle of two 3-0 teams in the NFC conference. In the AFC, the San Diego Chargers (2-0) head to Maryland to face the surprising Baltimore Ravens (3-0) as both try to keep pace atop the conference standings. Betting Lines makers at MySportsbook.com, online sportsbook and casino, have set the Bears as 3.5 point favorites while the Chargers are a 2.5 point bet.
Of the three remaining undefeated teams, only one, New Orleans, enters this week's game as an underdog. Despite an emotional and resounding win over Atlanta on Monday night, the Saints are a 7.5 point underdog against the struggling Carolina Panthers. Indianapolis looks to stay perfect when they face the New York Jets as a 9 point road favorite while the Cincinnati Bengals are a 6 point favorite at home to the New England Patriots.
Six teams enter the week still looking for their first win, with a seventh, Tampa Bay, on a bye week. The prospect of dropping another game would not bode well for a potential playoff run. Since 1990, just three teams -- the 1992 Chargers, 1995 Detroit Lions and 1998 Buffalo Bills -- have overcome losing their first three games of the season to earn a postseason berth. And only the Chargers managed to accomplish the feat after starting 0-4.
